We connect with the world through our senses. Improving the sensory integration of our senses (smell, taste, hearing, vision, touch, and inner senses: interoception, vestibular, and interoception) normalises our neuroception and nervous system’s regulation. It also strengthens our connection to ourselves, others and our environment.
Our sensing services aim to optimise your gravitational security and multi-sensory processing, which are the building blocks for all future learning and executive functions.
These services focus on integrating the vestibular-auditory-visual triad, often called your learning triangle, to re-establish gravitational security and improve neuroception. At birth, our myelinated vestibular sense is the primary provider of safety and facilitates the integration of all our senses.
The vestibular sense (CN VIII) works closely with proprioception. It integrates with vision and auditory senses to help us understand the relationships between sights, sounds, objects, and people.
Since the vestibular system acts as our internal GPS, it contributes to all aspects of learning development, executive functioning, and emotional control.
The inner ear and vestibular system play a significant role in ADHD, dyslexia, VAST, and an array of other conditions such as anxiety, head injuries, learning difficulties, sensory sensitivities, and chronic physical conditions. Children and adults with problems in auditory processing often have behavioural state regulation limitations.
Movement plays a crucial role in developing our autonomic nervous system (ANS) regulation and maturing our overall nervous system. A dysregulated nervous system functions similarly to a young, "immature" nervous system. Therefore, we use early and natural movement patterns in safety to facilitate neuroplasticity learning, creating new synapses and generative habits.
We optimise our ability to fully and consciously experience the present moment through safe and gentle movement awareness. This heightened awareness gives our “sense of self” greater access to our innate wisdom, allowing us to move away from our history and unconscious fears. It influences our internal sensory information (interoception, proprioception, and vestibular) and normalises our neuroception to evaluate sensory events more accurately.
Consequently, the regulation of our nervous system is guided by our innate wisdom and soul values and less by our life story and adaptive survival patterns, transitioning from dysregulation to regulation. This promotes ongoing nervous system regulation for connection and optimal health.
